Best fat-burning exercise?


This is a question I get asked on a regular basis but unfortunately it’s the wrong question.

You wouldn’t ask an artist what colour is best for painting a nice picture or a pianist what key is best for playing a beautiful song.



It’s not the exercise that burns fat but a balanced combination of exercise, nutrition, mindset, lifestyle, sleep patterns, stress levels and everything else in between.

Once you have the right combination of all of these factors and you can see the changes occurring there is one simple principle that MUST come into play for those changes to continue….


I’m a fan of exercise classes, jogging, swimming etc because they help keep you healthy (especially your heart and lungs) but the vast majority of people who do these classes and cardio training fail to implement progression into their training.

Are you one of those people?

Can you say your fitness has progressed over the past 4 weeks?

Are you monitoring your fitness? Whether that’s strength, speed, endurance, flexibility and power.

Are you always looking to improve one aspect or two about your nutrition?

Do you sleep well at night?

How is your mood?

How do you feel towards your health and fitness in general?

These are the questions you should be asking yourself rather than what exercise is best for burning fat.
